I am second

I lived a life that was filled with so much pain and anguish that had I created for myself over and over.  I lived for money, for fun, for empty relationships, for a tasty buzz… I lived for me.  I spent my time looking for the next thing to fill the empty space that was inside me.  Over and over again I would try and could never seem to find satisfaction that lasted.   It was there for a moment and then gone.  I wanted to be on top, I wanted to be first, I wanted to be the best, I wanted to have it all and I always wound up empty handed.

That was then…

Today, I am second.   As I watched the videos at I am second if found myself nodding and realizing,  once again, I’m not the only one to ever feel this way.

How much do you have to hate someone?

I came across an interesting video blog post from Penn of Penn & Teller (a self professed atheist)? who has some powerful words for those of us who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

My marvelous maiden and I seem to be fighting over great content lately and since she is the consumate professional, she is always quicker than I.? As I watched this story and others like it I see, once again that there is no one that is too far gone for Jesus to redeem.

To Write Love on Her Arms

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

My marvelous maiden talked to our children today about something we pray we never have to experience, but we want them to be able to reach out to the hurting and show everyone Christ’s unconditional love.
