Going to Detroit Lakes, MN

How to start a movement

It doesn’t take an army to start a movement, just someone with a little vision and persistence.  In the video:

One guy starts a dance…

One guy is persistent when everyone is looking at him like he’s crazy…

One guy hangs in there when some of the first to join slow down and leave…

One guy is still there when the group is so large that those late to the dance don’t even know how or why it began.

My family’s greatest desire is to be the catalyst of a movement where people can gather together and experience God…

Experience healing…

Experience restoration…

Experience forgiveness…

Experience love…

Experience change…

Experience real life in community….

We want to Experience life with a group that may not be the best looking…

may not wear the right clothes…

may not have the right up bringing…

may have taken many wrong steps…

and may still be stumbling and looking for some solid ground.

We hope that you will join us in experiencing living life and experiencing God, being a part of something that is bigger than we are.

Hey man, congrats on deciding on Detroit Lakes. The video is a great illustration!! At the end the girl exclaims “How did he do that? How did he do that?” I pray that’s what we are saying of you guys in a few years. Only our answer will be “The good and faithful Lord God Almighty.”

Mike – I’m glad God has finally led you to a place! Nice post, and exciting opportunity!

As you said, he may look crazy. And that guy definitely wasn’t graceful–in the physical sense. And the next ones trying to join the dance didn’t know the first guy’s vision; they seemed to almost screw him up. But spiritually, you guys are graceful and awesome! How can anyone not join your dance? We’ll try not to screw up your vision.

Way to start the dance Mike! I miss you already!

Freakin EH!!!!!!!!! We miss the Gorge and the wonderful music events there. I hope you realize that the Sasquatch puts 10K to shame in the amount of drugs and alcohol consumed over a few days of listening to wonderful music. Anyone who has been to a music festival like 10K, Bonnaroo, or Sasquatch can tell you this guy is COMPLETELY high. So, are there free drugs at your church or should we just drink the kool-aid?

With love from a happy couple that still enjoy a toke and lived in sin for 7 years before getting married. Oh and the wife is ELCA Lutheran – damn those homosexuals!
